Step 2: Product Hunting

Hope your did take a break after all those account creations and downloads! You have created all those accounts, yeah? If not, then you are just wasting your time reading all of this.

Note to all who those (majority) of people who have not created your accounts... I am going to ask you a question and I want you to think about it and give yourself an honest answer.
When are you going to stop reading books on how to start an online business and actually start doing something?

Your Product Selection

Ok, Now that all of that is done we can continue to the more exiting and fun stuff!

Time to select your product.

You could swop step 2 and step 3. If this is your first project, I suggest that you do step 2 first. If you have some experience you could do step 3 first.

Let's continue to your product selection.. You are going to look for something to sell from your website for a commission.

Note that it is much easier staying focussed and motivated when your business is related to something you adore, so choosing something that interests you is not a bad idea, but please stay away from internet marketing products until you are more experienced.

The competition is just too heavy. Anyway, how can you teach other people something that you don’t know yourself?

I have been there. I have tried 7 money-making sites and all 7 failed!
(Failed = not making me enough money. (between $7.00 and $15.00 a month).
I do keep them alive because they are not running at a loss. The profit are small (less than $200 a year) BUT it still is profit! and one site is costing me under $10 per year, so it still is Residual Income. I don’t have to work for it, but I am doing much better with my smaller niche markets that not related to internet marketing / money making.
Rather concentrate on finding a niche market. Go and look what people are searching for and then see if you can sell something to them. Think about what problems they might have and how you can solve it for them.
