Lesson 3

"Website Content"

"Nothing Is Going To Happen If You Don't Take Action!!!"

You are almost at the end of your niche website creation! Keep your focus on your project. I just can't say this enough. TAKE ACTION! Hopefulle by the end of this course you will undestand this simple concept. You need to start doing something if you want to see results! It is not enough to read through all the ebooks you can find and download all the latest tools if you are not USING it.

Step 6.5 - Website Content

Go back to your researched keyword list and start doing some research about your keywords. You are going to write 8 articles to start with. You can write more later, but I found that writing 8 unique articles is enough to start your website marketing efforts. I will show you my marketing method in the next lesson.

I just use Google for my content research. I hardly ever find the need to use other search engines for my content research as I usually get everything I need from the Google results. You can use any search engine you like or article directories.

I do the following Google searches:

+"niche keyword" +article
+"niche keyword" +articles

Next I open the results pages and save the article to my pc. I save about 10 articles per niche keyword phrase. This way I can read through the articles off-line. I have a "scratch" document open while I'm reading the articles and I make notes of important things in the article. After reading through the 10 articles I just write my own article based on the notes in my scratch document. (I wite these articles in a word doc and copy them to my html page later)

DO NOT just copy and paste the article to your site! There are things like copyright laws in place. Do not look for unnecessary trouble! Take time and do your content writing properly!

I start with 8 unique articles before going on to the marketing of my site and ecourse. I just save my unique articles in a word doc. I create my html pages only when I'm finished writing my own unique 8 articles. I only create html pages for 5 of these articles. I keep the other 3 for article directories. (more about article submission in the next lesson)

Only when I have written 8 articles in Word do I create my html pages. I also create html pages for the original articles I saved from article site. I use 2 saved articles per niche keyword. Remember, I save 10 articles per keyword. Remember to include the original author's resource box in the article when you paste it into to your html page.

This is the way I create my article html pages:

1) I have a header image on top. (You downloaded header templates in day 1)
2) I place a heading (H1 tag) with my niche keyword
3) I place an adsense Leaderboard (728 x 90) below that
4) I reserve a column on the lef hand side of the page for aff ads
5) I place some more adsense ads below my aff ads (Skyscraper (120x600))
6) My article take the main space of the html page
7) Below the article I have another adsense box (Large Rectangle (336 x 280))
8) Underneath that box I place links to my other articles
9) At the bottom I have my copyright notice with a link to my home page

This is the format I use for most of my niche pages. This works well for me. I also try to incorporate my ads in my article in such a way that it doesn't look like blatant advertising. It looks like I am providing my reader with extra advice. I am trying NOT to sell anything to my visitors. I leave the selling for the product sales page. Your task should be to get your visitors to go to the product sales page.

You've done enough reading for one day! Time to TAKE ACTION! Start writing your autoresponder messages and articles! You will need them for your next lesson.

In the next lesson you will copy your squeeze page, ecourse pages and article pages to your hosting account, test everything and start your marketing!

Remember:
