Residual Income Explained

True residual income is money that you earn (on a regular basis) whithout having to work for it. A better definition is: "Money that you earn on a regular basis, and you had to work for it only once."

I think the best example would be selling a subscribtion service on a commission basis. This service must have reccuring fee's, like web hosting, internet access insurance policies, telephone service ect. These services let you make a "once-off" sale and keep on earning income whenever the servive fee's are paid by your customer! This income can be received for years to come!

I don't know about you, but this is the type of income I'm after. Look at it this way... Would you rather make a one time commission of $50 on a one time sale or would you rather make a $20 commission everytime a subscriber pays the subscribtion fee. This type of income can grow very rapidly over a relitave short period of time. It is possible to still be earning income from a sale done years ago! It is for this reason that MLM (Multi Level Marketing) sounds so attractive to many people.

Please don't get confused here... Not all residual income opportunities are MLM based.

Where can you find these opportunities?

There are many opportunities available in the net today, but you have to be careful when choosing your opportunity, because there are many more scams available than the real thing!

You need to make sure that the company has a good track record. There are many ways a company can trick you in joining them. Here are a few warning signs to look out for:

Put up a website, sit back and collect money in your post-box.
This does not work! A profitable a successful website requires work, dedication and marketing. Don't expect to get wealthy from doing nothing! You need to take some action.

MLM / Network Marketing income is passive residual income.
In almost every MLM sales pitch has the phrase "creating reswidual income". Don't get me wrong, it is possible BUT it requires HARD WORK in the initial stages! It is not easy growing a MLM network below you.

Don't join a residual income opportunity and think it ill be easy money! Building true residual income takes dedication and perseverance. The step required to create successful residual income streams are fairly easy BUT it als requires CONSISTENCY. Not many peple have this quality and therfore are failing at all the opportunitis they join. And then they blame the company for their failure!

Developing true residual income streams take serious effort and dedication. It is not as easy as many of these companies are trying to make you belive. With that said, I belive it is well worth the effort.

Avoid falling for empty hyped-up promises, be dedicated in your opportunity have patients and you will one day reap the rewards of having true residual income streams! Keep up with the hard work and ddedication for long enough abd you could retire early!
